Opening Act 2010 - Neoteric Dance Collaborative
In 2009, BoSoma launched their Opening Act Series at their spring season performance Through this endeavor, BoSoma aim's to support young companies and choreographers by inviting them to be the Opening Act for their annual spring season performance. The power of collaborating with dance companies of all genres, in hopes of inspiring and educating our audiences, is a vital part of dance in Boston and beyond.
Neoteric Dance Collaborative was founded in 2004 by Sarah Cost as a side project to accompany her dance studies at the University of New Hampshire. At that time, the project's initial goal was to encourage the artistic development of new choreographers and young, pre-professional dancers by providing a laboratory environment that was conducive to collaboration and creativity. In 2009, NDC relocated from New Hampshire to the Boston area. This transitional period marked a time of creative growth and NDC's busiest performance season yet.
